We’ve all heard of the SEO plugin by Yoast. Well, the guys over at Yoast came up with a very interesting infographic detailing some of the amazing achievements of WordPress in a short eleven years since its launch.
48% of the top 100 blogs as rated by Technorati are using the WordPress CMS. That’s a pretty significant deal, as there are countless alternatives out there. Imagine a political candidate geting 48% of the vote, in a primary.
These numbers are a few years old, so taking that into account, these numbers may be even higher. There’s no indication that any other CMS has emerged as a competitor with WordPress.
